Long Vertical Wall Art

Finding the right size of wall art to suit your space is crucial. One key element is a tape measure required to measure out the work you need. Vertical wall art is perfect for narrower spots on the wall, like beside bookshelves or on corners. If your space is small, a landscape (horizontal) piece may dwarf the wall and make it look even smaller, while long vertical wall art can do the opposite. Rooms in the house, like bathrooms and laundries, are notoriously small and rarely provide ample landscape space.

Animal Art

Hang up some vintage animal art in your bathroom or laundry room. Whether it’s illustrations of octopuses or photographs of long-necked alpacas, our prints are perfect vertical wall art. One of our more popular pieces comes in a collection of three vertical prints. These are the glimmering black cocktails. If space isn’t an issue and you can hang up more horizontal pieces, think twice before going straight to a large, bombarding horizontal wall art. Get creative and break up the space by hanging up three portraits that speak to one another in theme and subject matter.

Fine Art

There’s no reason why you can’t hang up your favourite museum pieces in narrower spots. There’s plenty to choose from, like the portrait of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa or embracing lovers in Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss. Portraits are traditionally painted on vertical canvases or wood. You’ll find many famous faces of the fine arts painted vertically, like Girl with a Pearl Earring or the evanescent ballerinas by Edgar Degas. For a change in subject, see Vincent van Gogh’s range of floral pieces. The vertical vases filled with flowers will brighten up any wall they hang from.

Beach Art

Orientation is key when selecting wall art that suits your decor, but don’t allow your restrictive sizes to keep you from selecting the pieces that resonate with you. If you’re a lover of the beach, but the wall you have in mind runs high and the space is skinny, don’t fret because there is beach prints available to you. Our beach art collection is expansive enough to include vertical pieces that don’t cut off the beauty of the beach. These vertical pieces are photographed to include the stunning blue skies and serene waves. Vertical wall art of beaches are perfect when palm trees are in focus as they aesthetically run long and high, straight into the sky.

Poster Art

Posters make for great additions to a vertical wall, mainly because the artist originally intended them to be vertical. Creative talents like Alphonse Mucha and Leonetto Cappiello are perfect examples. Poster art was used to sell household and consumer products and was taken to a whole new level by artists like Cappiello. These wall arts make perfect additions to kitchens and laundry rooms thanks to the narrow spaces they can fit into. If you’re a movie or theatre buff, consider hanging up poster art by Mucha in your theatre room or living room. Mucha made a collection of posters advertising the theatre shows of Sarah Bernhardt.
